Road: Baldwin wins Scunthorpe Circuit Races

Dinnington Road Club’s Richard Baldwin secured victory in the latest round of the Scunthorpe Poly CC Circuit Races at the Blyton track in North Lincolnshire.

The 19-year-old from Doncaster held off Cottingham Coureurs rival David Brearley to take the win at the end of the 20-lap, 32-mile Regional C+ scratch race, while Clay Cross RT’s Steve Thompson took third.

In the ABC youth race, Liverpool Mercury’s David Bolland took the win over their eight-mile race, crossing the line 11 seconds ahead of Dinnington RC’s Harry White, while Max Poole (Lincsquad) came out on top in the youth CDE race.
