Report: Snowdon Sports

Experience proved key for Conan Mayman, the 43-year-old Team Bglobal rider who took victory in the latest round of the CDNW Criterium League staged at the Preston Sports Arena in Lancashire.

Mayman, from Ruthin, led a one-two for Team Bglobal with 19-year-old Chris Sherriffs taking second spot, just ahead of Julian Pearson (Vanilla Bikes), the 20-year-old from Lancaster who held off another Bglobal rider Matthew Pilkington for the final podium spot and thereby denied them a 1-2-3.

Clitheroe-based Eldon Garnett won the supporting race for third and fourth category riders as well as women, the 38-year-old Team Wallis CHH rider holding off Ellis Kirkbride (Border City Wheelers) for the win, while Rebecca Heath (VC St Raphael) was third.

And in the youth races, Oliver Payton won the ABC race while Adam Hathaway was victorious in the Youth DE race.
