A total of 371 competitors turned out at a very windy NSC last Tuesday night for round six of Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's youth league.

In the novices race Zack Bellhouse picked up his maiden win of the series, outsprinting Jessica Rich, Colby Newbold and Summer Peters in the dash for the line. Sydney Patterson held off Kate Morris for fifth and Lucas Venables pipped Fearne Bregazzi for seventh. Chloe Hampson and Sophie Hindson completed the top ten.

Sam Cowin continued his winning ways in the born 2007 & later class, beating Orry Lund and Alex Andrew to the line for his third successive victory. Isaac Batty, William Curphey and Archie Dunn trailed in separately to claim fourth, fifth and sixth respectively, with Myles Le Geyt leading James Kelly and Lewin Scarffe home for seventh. Jemma Quayle was the first girl in 11th spot.

In the born 2006 event Zachary Dowson edged out Ivan Sorby for the honours. Cian Jackson got away from travelling companion Correy Peters to claim the final place on the podium and Logan Glover rode clear of Owen Collins and David Sargent to grab fifth. Samuel Devereau was a safe eighth and Harry Price won the bunch sprint for ninth. Lucy Barnett was the top girl in 16th position.

The in-form Niall Colquitt outgunned Harry Kneen and Chloe Dillon for his fifth win in the born 2005 category. Oliver Corkish ousted Oliver Sykes for fourth and Mairi Harrison stayed away from chasers Chloe Comaish and Harry Boyle for sixth. Jack Davies and Teddy Dunn rounded off the top ten.

Dillon Dowson was too strong for breakaway partner Zac Walker in the battle for maximum points in the born 2004 age group. Ralph Holden got the better of Oliver Harrison and Cameron Dudley in the scrap for third and Daniel Keen maintained sixth ahead of the fast closing duo of Billy Kennedy and Joshua Dudley. The girls' prize went to Kiera Prentice in a very good ninth place.

Percy Hampton caught and passed early leader Jonty Bregazzi on the penultimate lap to notch up his fourth win in the born 2003 class. Matthew Black had the edge on Chad Magill in the dash for third and Joshua Glover outsprinted Tyler Hannay, Jack Christian, Thomas Skillicorn and Thomas Young for fifth. Matthew Cooil came in ahead of top girl Darcy Cain to complete the top ten leader board.

Five riders contested the finish of the born 2002 race, with Charlie Gibson eventually getting the verdict over Aaron Lund, James Harrison, Corrin Leeming and Will Corkill. Leading girl Shellan Leeming claimed sixth ahead of Nicholas Kissack and Liam Crellin snatched eighth from Louis Dean and Nathanael Tyson. In the born 2001 three lapper Adam Kelly was too strong for Lucas Mudie in the gallop for the chequered flag. Alex Cain took the nine-strong bunch sprint for third, with Kaitlin Slack earning the girls' award in eighth spot.

In the under 10 racing bikes Charlie Gibson seized victory in the final sprint, taking the chequered flag in front of breakaway partners Percy Hampton, Aaron Lund, James Harrison, William Corkill and Jonty Bregazzi. The under 12's went to Thomas Bostock, who put the hammer down in the closing stages to beat Tosh Teare and Adam Kelly to the line. Max Walker took fourth closely followed by Conor Gelling and Sam Batey in fifth and sixth positions.

In the under 16 racing bikes Jamie Dudley and Leon Mazzone escaped from the pack at half distance and stayed clear to the finish where Dudley powered to the win. Joseph Haddock was an excellent third ahead of Matthew Bostock, Matthew Draper and Nathan Draper, who was slowed by a mechanical problem in the final few laps. Nathan Hinks and Conor Davies were seventh and eighth, while ninth placed Sophie Black rode strongly to take the girls' honours from Eleanor Davies (10th) and Breeshey Cain (11th).
