VO2 Development Team rider Harold Evans took victory in the Surrey League Road Race staged by Bayeux CT at Newick in East Sussex on Saturday.

The 24-year-old from London-based rider took victory ahead of Leatherhead 20-year-old Elliott Porter (Team Corridori), while the experienced Conall Yates (In Gear-Quickvit) completed the podium in third spot.

All three were second cat riders, but third cat Iain Palmer (Twickenham CC) took fourth spot and was unlucky not to end up in the top three. And Brighton Mitre CC’s Michael Coyle was best veteran, taking seventh place.
