Bristol’s Malcolm Dixon (Severn RC), 28, outsprinted breakaway companion Ed Laverack (Team Tredz) to win Mid-Devon CC’s 57-mile Halwill Junction Road Race.

The pair had gone clear on the penultimate lap of five and finished over a minute clear of a chasing pack who were led in by Morris Elphick (Exeter Wheelers) with junior Harry Edney (North Devon Wheelers) in fourth place.
