Road: Coyle takes win in George Samuel Memorial

SECOND in last year’s corresponding event, Brighton veteran Mike Coyle went one better to take the honours in the opening round of the George Samuel Memorial Hove Park Crit Series.

Coyle, 49, got the better of second-placed Jon Lewis (Charlotteville CC) after 50 minutes and five laps of racing in the event for second and third categories on the Brighton circuit.

The supporting fourth-category race produced a maiden win for 20-year-old Jamie Durmush, from Bexley in Kent.
