With the Olympics approaching and cycle sport in Britain at an all time high, Cornish outfit The One and All Cycling Club has created its very own Youth Academy.

Based at Bike Chain Bissoe Bike Hire and Cafe, the academy was launched on 6 November 2011. Its aim is to encourage young people to take up cycling in the first place and provide a clear pathway for them to progress in it as a sport, if they want to.

One and All provide qualified coaches and enthusiastic group leaders, plus they have the help of several patrons who will act as mentors. These include Olympic silver medallist and world champion, Wendy Houvenaghel, ex-pro racer Tom Southam and current professionals, Chris Opie, Steve Lampier and Yanto Barker , all of whom were born or live in Cornwall, or have strong connections with it.

For more details and to speak to riders or visit the academy’s headquarters, contact: Ricci Pascoe on 01209 215787 or Fiona Telfer Brunton on 07890 761879.
