Ever fancied having a go at officiating at a road event? If so a course is being run in Yorkshire at the West Yorkshire Police training centre in Wakefield on Saturday 18 February from 10-5pm.

You need to have a good knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the sport but apart from that you just need a passion for cycling and the course is free. You will be sent a pre-course test to complete and bring on the day. On completion of the course you will be able to attend events as an Assistant Commissaire and be able to progress onto a Regional Commissaire through completing a logbook and gaining experience as a commissaire.

For further details or to book on the course contact Pete Sutton (Yorkshire Regional Events Officer) on petersutton@britishcycling.org.uk or 07940302079.

Alternatively the North West are hosting a course taking place in Blackpool on Sunday 26 February at the Palatine Leisure Centre. For further details contact Jenny Gretton (North West Regional Events Officer) on jennygretton@britishcyclig.org.uk or 07930 229993.
