Cycle Premier Racing Team, which finished third in the 2012 team rankings has announced some of its plans for 2012 with a new range of sponsors and riders.

The teams title sponsor, CyclePremier.com launched its range of Kovert Racing bikes and Fluid wheels at the Cycle Show in Birmingham last month around rumors that Kovert Racing would be the team sponsors for 2012 providing bikes, wheels, clothing and helmets.

Italian cycle component company, Deda Elementi also joins the team providing components alongside Italian tyre company Vittoria. ADL consulting continue to provide the team with online website support, whilst Champneys Springs hosts the UK team training camps, the first of which takes place in early December. Skoda continues to provide the team with four wheeled support with their award winning Skoda Superb Estate and Maxim continues to provide the team with energy products and bottles.

Commenting on the team sponsors, Team Director Rod Freeman said, “Commercially it makes sense to put the team on our own range of carbon bikes and wheels. We have gone for a fresh line up of talented young riders who are keen to grow with the team as we expand the Kovert Racing project into Europe over the next few years. We are delighted that Skoda, Maxim and ADL Consulting have remained with the team from last year and we look forward to moving forward with their support. The team has worked with Champneys Springs Health Resort in the past and they have always made us feel very welcome. We are also excited to be working with our new sponsors Fluid, Deda and Vittoria.”

The team has announced nine riders with three more of an international level to follow. They are:

Tom Black – Raunds
Declan Byrne – Stoke
Jamie Caldwell – Huntingdon
Russell Falder – Stafford
Richard Hepworth – Manchester
Jake Martin – Wimbledon
George Moore – Birmingham
Jon Mozley – Derby
Chris Pritchard - Sheffield

Freeman said, “We have a core number of new riders based in the midlands this year. This enables us to concentrate on bonding the team and riding as one unit. Even our foreign riders will be midlands based but I’ll tell you more about that project later. We plan to repeat a similar race program to that which we ran in 2011 concentrating on road and criterium racing in the UK, but with an open mind to races in Italy as and when our Italian sponsors require, which is very exciting!”
