The Lewis Balyckyi Memorial Ride takes place on the 18th September 2011 with three different rides available for all abilities.

The three options consists of a 32k marshalled family ride which is flat consisting of 16k to Bonds ice cream shop then the same back, a 70k slightly hillier ride taking in Bleasdale and the surrounding countryside, and a 100k ride going round the Trough of Bowland, which has a few steep climbs.

Each ride will feature cafe stops on the way and refreshments afterwards back at the barn with all rides starting from the barn at the Preston Sports Arena, Lancashire

The purpose of the ride is to raise funds for the Lewis Balyckyi Trust Fund which was set up with three purposes:

- Help to support an up and coming junior rider for a season.
- Give a donation to the North West Air Ambulance.
- Work with the Police and road safety groups to educate drivers on cycle safety on the roads.

In addition Geraint Thomas has donated a Team Sky shirt used in the Tour de France complete with race numbers, which will be auctioned off.
