2011 National Paracycling Circuit Race Championship

Report: Paul West
Venue: Redbridge | 26 June 2011

A small, but high quality field lined up at the windswept start of this year's Paracycling National Circuit Champs. Held on the tough 2km Circuit at Redbridge, Tom Staniford (Cyclefit) took full advantage of his classification allowance and looked strong all the way, surviving a solid hour long chase by Nick Fairfield ( Hull City RC) who also just failed to overhaul long marker, Shaun Wilcox (London Dynamo) in the closing stages. The 4th finisher, Daniel Weston (North Devon Wheelers)also put up a marvellous ride, certainly not out classed by his opponents, making his long travel from the west country well worth it.

Thanks go to Ian Coles and his team for supplying the Redbridge Cycle Circuit Facility for the this event as part of a splendid day of racing as run on the day ( 25th June)

Final Result. - Duration 1 Hour

1. Tom Staniford (MC3) Cyclefit
2. Shaun Wilcox (MC3) London Dynamo
