National Rankings Home

British Cycling's National Rankings are one of the most popular destinations on this website as riders track their progress relative to their peers and target moves up through the system. They are also a great guide to which riders are in form.

Elite Men: Cyclepremier.com-Metaltek's Jason White top the Elite Men's rankings this week thanks to a consistent run in the last five or six weeks, especially in circuit races, culminating in seventh in the Smithfield Nocturne at the weekend.

Marcel Six has also leap-frogged over long-time rankings leader Zac Dempster, thanks primarily to strong performances in the Tour Series crits.

Other riders making a move upwards include Scott Thwaites who has had a win and a second in recent rounds of the Tour Series and has shown that his win in the Lincoln GP was no fluke and that he's equally at home in crits or longer open-road events.

Graham Briggs is moving up steadily at the moment, following up his win in the Tour Series at Peterborough with third at Stoke and fourth at the Smithfield Nocturne.

He and Dean Downing, another rapid mover in the last month, have been the cornerstones of Rapha Condor Sharp's strong start to the summer circuit racing season.

Teams: Amongst the teams, it's no surprise to see Rapah Condor Sharp moving into the number one position, their strength in depth in both Road Races and Criteriums makes them a strong favourite to still be at the top at the end of the season. Having said that, Raleigh and Motorpoint are close on their heels, and with less than 1000 points between the top ten teams - Endura are currently in 10th - it's still wide open.

Women: In the women's rankings, the main action is amongst the first category riders, with Hannah Barnes extending her lead at the top thanks to consistent rides in the Johnson Health Tech Women's Grand Prix Series and a fine win in the Smithfield Nocturne. Behind her, moving up from 6th to second, is Motorpoint team-mate Lucy Garner, who is enjoying an outstanding first senior season: she hasn't been outside the top ten in any of her last 15 race finishes and has five wins to her credit already. Also rising fast is Dani King, who capped a good month with a win at the weekend's Capernwray road race.
