A course change to the Medbourne-Drayton-Great Easton circuit which involved three ascents of the Devil's Staircase climb made for a very different race from last week's opener.Handicap groups split and new groups formed right from the first lap. It was a surprise then when a group of over 20 riders contested a sprint for the finish.

The winner, in 1.:2412 was Liam Stones of 45 Road Club, followed by David Langlands of Fenland Clarion CC with Dave Palmer of Renault-Rotor-Colbert RT in third place. Then came Joe Clarke of Fenland Clarion, Peter Wilson of Rockingham Forest Wheelers, Matt Garfield of Fenland Clarion, Richard Jones of Numplumz Mountain Bikers, Peter Moulding of Peterborough CC, Lloyd Bettles of Numplumz Mountain Bikers with Gregg Payne of Rockingham Forest Wheelers in tenth place.

Liam Stones, now with a fourth and and a first place to his name took over the race leader's yellow jersey from last week's winner Mark Thomson of St Ives CC.
