A fourth place finish for Owain Doull at Saturday’s ZLM Tour helped Great Britain climb up to fourth in the UCI under 23 Nations’ Cup standings.
The result in the Netherlands earned 13 points to take Great Britain’s total to 31, 14 behind leaders the Netherlands after three events.
On the back of third place at La Côte Picarde, Simon Yates finished in 17th and Chris Latham an encouraging 20th on his Nations’ Cup debut.
The fourth event in the series, the Toscana-Terra di Ciclismo five-day stage race scheduled for the 16-20 April, has been cancelled with the series next returning to Europe for the Under 23 European Road Championships on 21 July in Czech Republic.
