Driver in Rob Jefferies case charged with Causing Death by Careless Driving

Police have charged the driver of the vehicle which struck and killed well-known track and time trial rider and former British Cycling Volunteer Support Officer Rob Jefferies on 26 May 2011.

The driver was charged with causing death by careless driving in a hearing on Friday 25 November and will appear in court on 12 December.

Jefferies was struck by a vehicle on the evening of 26 May while out on a training ride with a friend near Wareham in Dorset. British Cycling and Leigh Day & Co solicitors continue to support the Jefferies family as the case progresses.
