After the gold rush of Saturday the medals continued to flow for Great Britain’s para-cyclists on the final day of the World Cup in Canada.
Katie Toft led the way with gold in the women’s C1 road race, before Lora Fachie rounded off the event with a gold in the women's B road race in the final race of the World Cup.
Crystal Lane-Wright and Will Bjergfelt both claimed bronze in the final event for the team in the 2018 season, and Craig Collis-McCann and Stephen Bate rode their way to silver in the men’s T2 road race and B road race respectively.
After the successes of Maniago and strong performances on the previous four days of the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup in Baie-Comeau, the Great Britain team went into day five in confident mood.

Toft had won her third title of the year at the World Championships in Italy two weeks ago and continued where she left off with a time of 1:43:23 in her road race.
Fachie clinched her second double of the World Cup in the women's B road race, clocking a time of 2:00.14 to conclude the event, shortly after Bate managed silver in a sprint finish to record a time of 2:23.51.
Lane-Wright’s bronze came in the women’s C5 road race as she completed the 56.7km course in a time of 1:37:04.
Poland’s Anna Harkowska and Germany’s Kerstin Brachtendorf took gold and silver, two minutes ahead of Lane-Wright.
The first batch of races on the final day saw Lane-Wright come in with her medal and Ben Watson agonisingly close to another bronze as he took fourth in the men’s C3 road race.
Germany’s Matthias Schindler took gold in a time of 1:30:32 with Watson just over a minute behind but fractionally slower than David Nicholas of Australia.
Simon Price finished seventh in the men’s C2 road race and David Smith ninth in the C1.
Onto the afternoon races and after securing a first ever Para-Cycling Road World Cup gold a day previous, Bjergfelt quickly added another medal to his collection with a C5 road race bronze.
The British rider completed the 85.1km race with a time of 2:04:25, just behind Australia’s Alistair Donohoe and France’s Dorian Foulon, who took gold.
Megan Giglia claimed a fourth in the women’s C3 road race and so it was left to Collis-McCann to continue the medal success later in the day with his silver.
The Great Britain rider finished three minutes behind podium-topper Hans-Peter Durst of Germany, while David Stone also competed well to take fifth.
