Head of Para-Cycling at British Cycling, Jon Pett praised the development of the Great Britain Cycling Team saying, "the results from Maniago at the 2018 Para-Cycling Road World Championships demonstrated the growth within this team over the last few years.

"The team delivered our strongest medal return to date, and it was great to see a number of riders on the top step of the podium! The performances have continued our early push for qualification and we hope to continue that this week in Canada. It's been a strong year from the Great Britain Para-Cycling Team and we're where we'd hope to be building towards Tokyo 2020.

"The Canada World Cup is the final event for the team in the 2018 season and we'll be looking to finish it off well. The team we've selected is full of experience and contains a number of current or past world champions, all of whom are aiming to finish the season on the podium."
