McCann, 33, part of British Cycling’s Podium Potential programme, will now turn his attention to Saturday’s road race, an event he won silver in at the first round of the world cup in Maniago, Italy.

The time trials continue on Thursday with Mel Nicholls in the H4 time trial and Will Bjergfelt in the C5 time trial for the Great Britain Cycling Team.
