Wales' Manon Carpenter extended her lead in the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill standings with a win in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada on 2 August.
The 21-year-old Madison Saracen Factory Team rider dominated qualifying, four seconds faster than Frenchwoman Emmeline Ragot before going on to win the final by seven-tenths of a second from compatriot Rachel Atherton, who was just five hundredths of a second ahead of Ragot.
Tahnee Seagrave was fourth, fifteen seconds back while Ffion Griffiths was ninth, 30 seconds slower than Carpenter.
Jess Stone was 18th, one minute and two seconds off the pace of Carpenter.
The win meant Carpenter extended her overall lead, with 1030 points to Ragot’s 870, with Atherton in moving up to third on 850 points.
Britain’s Josh Bryceland was second in the elite men’s event, 1.2 seconds behind Australia’s Sam Hill with Danny Hart third, just four-tenths of a second behind Bryceland.
With Matt Simmonds eighth and Gee Atherton tenth, there were four British riders in a world cup top ten separated by just four and a half seconds.
Bryceland’s results saw him close the gap on world cup leader Troy Brosnan, who tops the table with 799 points to Bryceland’s 757.
Britain’s Taylor Vernon was fifth in the junior men’s race, 5.8 seconds behind winner Luca Shaw of the USA, with Brits Reece Wilson and Laurie Greenland seventh and eighth.
Vernon’s results left him third overall in the standings, 53 points behind leader Shaw.
The penultimate round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup DHI takes place at Windham, USA from 7-10 August.
