Welsh Cycling received a response from the Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport Lee Waters AC/AM regarding our letter to the First Minister for Wales on concerns about recent exercise restrictions for cyclists.

He acknowledged the letter and the points we raised within it and has asked his officials to convene an Active Travel board virtual meeting in which our CEO is a member to discuss further.

He also welcomed the suggestion on linked up communications and hoped that when the lockdown  measures are eased that active travel can play a key role in the recovery of this crisis, and to encourage everyone and particularly those who have rediscovered cycling in recent weeks to continue to enjoy riding their bikes.
