To continue to promote our partnership with Frog Bikes, at the remaining rounds of our Welsh Cyclo-cross league a competition will be run to give riders under the age of 16 a chance to win a Frog Bike of their choice.
The competition, launching at round 7 at Tredegar Park on 27th October is part of the Welsh Cycling and Frog Bikes partnership’s wider push to see more young people at the grassroots level get involved with cyclo-cross.
Frog Bikes have been a partner of Welsh Cycling for two years and having recently sponsored our Coach of the Year award at our 2019 Welsh Cycling Awards dinner, this is another initiative to get the next generation of riders enthused with the sport.
“We are delighted to offer the chance for one lucky young rider to win a Frog Bike of their choice. Whether they are already competing in Cyclo-cross or trying it for the first time, there has never been a better opportunity to get involved,” said Luke Saunders – Events and Partnerships, Frog Bikes.
To help get more young children taking up cycling, Welsh Cycling and Frog Bikes are also keen to develop close relationships with cycling clubs, schools and councils including offering training support and partner discounts.
To have your chance of winning a bike from the extensive Frog Bike range, entries can only be made at the Frog Bike tent from 11.30am at round 7 at Tredegar Park on 27th October and is only open to riders under 16 years of age. (Please note that the Frog Bikes ranges covers an average inside leg measurement of up to 78cm)
The competition will close at round 9, December 1 which is taking place at Parc Cwm Darran. The draw will then be made during that week, with the winner presented with the bike on the 8th December at our Welsh Championship event in Monmouthshire.
