Welsh Cycling has today submitted its nominations for selection of athletes to compete for Team Wales at Gold Coast 2018, to Commonwealth Games Wales for consideration.
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games take place 4-15 April 2018 in Queensland, Australia. Events will predominantly take place on the Gold Coast, with Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns also playing host to a selection of competitions.
The nominations have been made in-line with the nomination policy which was agreed by Welsh Cycling and Commonwealth Games Wales and published in December 2016.

Matt Cosgrove, Performance Director for Welsh Cycling said: “Team Wales achieved its best results ever at a Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014, with Welsh cyclists bringing home 5 medals across road, track and para-cycling events.
The Athlete Nomination Policy has allowed us to nominate a strong group of athletes to Commonwealth Games Wales for selection to the Games, to give Team Wales the greatest chance of medal success on the Gold Coast.”
Any athlete not included on the list of nominations has the right of appeal.
Appeals against the decision (s) made by the Welsh Cycling Selection Panel must be submitted to the chair of Welsh Cycling, no later than 48 hours after publication of this list of nominated athletes.
