With the road season getting underway, three clubs in West Wales are hosting a series of road races this spring.

Bynea Cycling Club will host the first Early Season Road Race on Sunday 30March, followed by Gower Riders on Sunday 6 April with County Cycles RT wrapping up the series on Sunday 27 April.

The trio of events will have both E123 and 3/4 Category races, on a 6.7 mile circuit around the Crosshands area of Carmarthenshire. The E123 event will start at 2.00pm completing 57 miles whilst the 3/4 event will start at 2.05pm completing 44 miles.

Tudor Thomas, Bynea Cycling Club, the organiser for the first event of the series said: “The aim of the series is to provide an opportunity for riders in the area to compete locally on the road without having to travel too far to race. We will be using a familiar circuit that has been used for many years which will undoubtedly result in a worthy winner.”
