Regulations for the 2023-24 Cyclo-Cross National Trophy including scoring, jerseys and ranking points.

Entries

Places will be by selection, based on the up to date National Rankings on the closing date of the event.  The continued growth in participation means that we are approaching realistic capacity at many rounds, so please note that an entry to an event does not guarantee acceptance.  The maximum field size has been set at 100 for any one category, or a total of 140 where there are two or more waves in the same race.  Please note that there will not be a reserve list.

National Trophy Points Scoring

Riders will drop their lowest point scoring round, with the best scoring rounds counting towards the overall points result. In the event of a tie on points, the higher position is awarded to the rider with the highest finishing position in the final round.

If neither rider contests the final round, then the tiebreak is applied to the penultimate round, then the round before that, and so on.

In all categories, Series points are awarded as follows:

1st 200, 2nd 180, 3rd 170, 4th 160, 5th 150, 6th 140, 7th to 11th decreasing by 5 points, 12th to 21st decreasing by 3 points, 22nd to 31st decreasing by 2 points, 32nd to 95th decreasing by 1 point, 96th to 100th will receive 1 point.
