Now in its fourth year, the popular Midweek Mountain Bike madness starts for 2013 on Thursday 30 May with some new and exciting venues and courses.

The new venues take the series further afield from the original Manchester based courses to Bolton’s Leverhulme Park and the new addition of Haigh Hall in Wigan. The series will once again provide a great range of courses to offer something for everyone.

A series of youth races will be on offer at a selection of the events. The senior race will have three brand new categories; Racer, Enthusiast, and Women. British Cycling race licence holders must enter into the “Racer” category for all events. There are prizes to be won each week based on the number of entries and there will be a trophy for the overall series winner presented at the series finale. The overall winner will be based on the top five results for each rider.

The finale round of the series will be held on Saturday 3 August, this is the very first time ever the MTB Madness series has been on a weekend. The “Big Weekend Finale” is being organised by Lancashire Road Club who will be holding races for all categories throughout the day.
