Location: Dalby Forest Pickering, North Yorkshire
Event: 10 March 2013

The Nutcracker Altura Cross-Country Series kicks off this weekend in the North of England with a return to Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire.

The course offers something a little bit different, being shorter than most cross-country courses and with a mixture of man-made trail centre singletrack and a selection of the Carters’ favourite 'off piste' sections through the trees.

Pre-entries closed on Sunday night, and organisers Nutcracker Racing report that the event has already topped all previous entry records, with a staggering 256 already signed up to take part in the event before even considering entries on the day.

The event takes place this Sunday, with three races throughout the day catering for all ages and abilities. There’s also the return of the ‘Sweatmonster Racing’ – a super short course designed specifically for budding racers aged 12 and below.

This will be hosted by British Cycling’s Go-Ride for Yorkshire scheme. Further information, including race categories, times and schedules are all available on the Nutcracker Altura XC Series website. On the day entries are still available for those still wanting to take part and who that haven’t already pre-entered.
