Event: 8 April 2012

With less than two weeks to go until Nutcracker 1, the event organisers are reporting that they are yet to receive any entries in the elite categories.

The Nutcracker XC Series is based in North Yorkshire and the course for Nutcracker 1, at Gandale, is on one of the Ministry of Defence’s tank and Land Rover training areas. Based just outside Catterick, it offers a mixture of fast and flowing sections, technical singletrack descents and short but very sharp ascents – as well as the infamous Gandale water splash feature.

Entries are still readily available in all other categories as well. Enter online and save money on the entry fee. Online entries draw to a close this Sunday night at midnight but entries will still be available at full price on the day. As well as the usual racing, fun category racing is available for all those over the age of 18 for a mere £10 if entered in advance (£15 on the day).

With a prize fund value of the equivalent of over £1600, there’s a lot to race for and prizes will be available from long term sponsors Dare2B and RWD Brakes, as well as new sponsors and partners Biketreks of Ambleside.
