Days before her challenge for the under-23 World Championship, Annie Last prepared with a win at the Swiss Cup.

The British Champion, who enjoyed two top ten finishes in the final two rounds of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup took her biggest win to date in the Swiss Series, where many World Championship riders chose to complete their preparations for the biggest race of the year.

Last rode into the lead alongside 2008 Olympic Champion Sabine Spitz, before attacking on the final lap to take the win alone by 27 seconds.

The British Cycling Olympic Academy athlete has had her best season to date; finishing top-20 in the UCI World Cup Standings.

British Cycling Olympic Podium Programme athlete Liam Killeen also rode his final race before the World Championships, finishing ninth at the Swiss Cup.

British Cycling will be reporting live from the Mountain Bike World Championships this week.
