CLIC24 announces Live Music Line-up

The UK's only charity 24 hour event has announced a great live music line-up to support the riders as they take on multiple laps of the famed 10 mile course in aid of children's cancer and leukaemia charity CLIC Sargent on the weekend of 8/9 May.

From the Friday night pre-party complete with hog roast and well stocked bar through to the night time laps on the Saturday the live music will help power solo and team riders as they pass through the event's main marquee at the end of each loop of the course.

Event Organiser Neil Wilkins said, "The music went down so well last year that we are making an almost continuous party of it this year with more than a dozen live bands playing right by the side of the course which will come through an extended main marquee, giving exciting indoor and outdoor viewing areas for spectators".

CLIC24 is the ideal preparation event for experienced racers as well as a friendly introduction to endurance riding for novices. The welcoming atmosphere and excellent facilities, coupled with free camping for families, friends and support crews ensures it's an ever-popular event on the mountain biking calendar.

Musicians for this year's event include Venus Suite, Sloe Jam, Lavington Bound, Charlotte Cockburn, Maddie Jones, Appalachia and headline for the pre-party Miss Skarlet.

ORIGINAL STORY

The annual CLIC24 charity 24 hour mountain bike event on the Mendip Hills in Somerset is now open for entries.

The event is the only one of its kind in Europe and offers an excellent course, top class free camping, great food and beer, live music throughout the event and that unique and chilled CLIC24 atmosphere.

Now in its 9th year CLIC24 attracts riders from all over the UK to take part in a combined effort that has raised over £270,000 for children's cancer and leukaemia charity CLIC Sargent. Growing in popularity each year the event is now a firm favourite in the early season calendar.

Event Organiser, Neil Wilkins said "This year's CLIC24 promises to be the best yet. It's perfect early season training for the pro riders as well as a welcoming introduction to endurance riding for the less experienced. We are looking for a return to the great weather we've enjoyed in the past years and have some surprises in store too".

This year's event will be sponsored by the brand new Mendip Mountain Bike Centre (incorporating Bad Ass Bikes) which is situated right near the course in Burrington Combe, described by many riders as the gateway to the Mendips.
