Three British Cycling mountain bike Olympic Performance Programme athletes have confirmed their trade teams for 2013.

Podium Programme athlete Annie Last has signed for Trek Factory Racing in 2013, while Olympic Academy athletes Kenta Gallagher and Grant Ferguson will represent Superior Brentjens Racing Team.

Last’s signing follows a 2012 season during which she won the inaugural round of the UCI cross country eliminator world cup in March, scored her first senior UCI cross country Olympic world cup podium in July and culminated with a top-ten finish at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Last achieved the results while part of British Cycling’s Olympic Academy, a residential Performance Programme for developing under-23 athletes, based in Manchester. Now part of British Cycling’s Podium Programme, Last will continue her career with dedicated performance support from the organisation.
