Natasha Bradley produced a brilliant performance to earn silver at the UCI Four-Cross World Championships in Val di Sole.
A year after finishing fourth in the same event, Bradley moved up two places to finish on the second step of the podium behind the Czech Republic’s Romana Labounkova.
As a result, she joins Katy Curd and Fionn Griffiths as a medallist in the women’s Four-Cross World Championships and it completed a strong overall outing in Italy.
Bradley had qualified second-fastest behind Labounkova before winning her semi-final. And while she could not quite catch the Czech in the final, she was able to come home ahead of Germany’s Raphaela Richter to take the silver. Fellow Brit Tyde D’Souza came home in seventh.
Meanwhile, in the men’s event, the Brits also featured strongly, with Elliott Heap first home as he finished fourth.
While he was just out of the medals, it was a strong performance from Heap in a race won by France’s Quentin Derbier.
Heap was far from the only Brit in action in the men’s race as Grant Hill and Scott Beaumont came sixth and seventh respectively, while William Evans was 19th and Connor Hudson 27th.
