Rachel Atherton took her fifth consecutive victory in the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup downhill and with it the series overall in Windham, America.
Taking the 25th world cup win of her career, Atherton was in a league of her own as she destroyed the field by nearly ten seconds – despite a short three minute track.
Manon Carpenter and Tahnee Seagrave finished second and third respectively to complete and all-British top three.
Carpenter now moves into second place in the overall standings with one round remaining – a remarkable feat considering a huge crash at Fort William and disqualification earlier in the year.
Seagrave’s second podium of the series moves her into third overall, 63 points down on Carpenter’s total.
Laurie Greenland took his third consecutive win in the junior men’s competition, keeping him at the head of the standings, while there was also a strong performance from Neil Stewart taking third on the day.
Gee Atherton was highest-placed Brit in the elite men’s race, finishing fourth, with Josh Bryceland, Matt Simmonds, Harry Heath and Joe Smith filling seventh to tenth.
Bryceland and Atherton remain the highest placed in the overall standings, fifth and sixth respectively.
The final round of the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup downhill takes place on 22 August in Val di Sole, Italy.
