What kind of riding do you do?
I try to do a long club ride on a Sunday and get a couple of shorter rides in during the week: either commuting, short rides or turbo sessions.
What do you enjoy most about cycling?
I love the freedom of being on my bike. I live in a beautiful part of the country and being able to ride around the mountains of Snowdonia gives me a real buzz, I never get bored of it.
What’s your favourite ride?
It's so hard to choose! I love riding up and down the Llanberis Pass or up from Llyn Gwynant. Descending down the Nant Ffrancon Pass back home with a tail wind is also pretty awesome.
What’s your top cycling tip to share?
My husband always used to tell me to stop pushing big gears and spin, spin, spin! I never really understood what that meant until I got a cadence computer and started paying attention to the effort needed to maintain a certain cadence. Suddenly, I have become much more efficient and get much less tired on the climbs. I guess I'm one of those people who needs to see something rather than feel it!
If you had a tandem, who would you like to ride it with?
Geraint Thomas, the man is a legend! I can't wait to see him on the podium at the Tour de France one day!
