This week I’ll be reviewing another busy period of competition and training across the entire squad.
This weekend the cross-country riders completed their first world cup of the season with some encouraging rides from Grant Ferguson and Annie Last.
Meanwhile the BMX team are preparing to continue their campaign at the world championships. We’ve just announced the team we’re taking, led by the 2013 winner Liam Phillips.
Throughout that squad there have been some injury problems, but we’re hoping everyone can be fully fit and ready to race for the most prestigious race of the season.
On the road it has been all about intensifying preparations for the Tour de France for Chris Froome and the riders who are excited to join him – and that includes Pete Kennaugh and Geraint Thomas.
Sir Bradley Wiggins has been back in track centre completing his hour record training alongside our usual sessions for the sprint and endurance squads.
Those guys have been working hard to ensure they are ready for the early start to the season in Derby for the opening round of the Revolution Series, where we will all be looking to qualify for the winter world cup events, which lead to the world championships in London.
I look forward to updating you with news on our progress in all of these events in the next edition – for now it’s about keeping our heads down, working hard and delivering the results we know we are capable of.
Thanks for your support,
