We teamed up with Graubünden Tourism to offer British Cycling members the chance to win a cycling holiday for two to the Swiss Alps.

In search of a dedicated bike rider to experience summer biking in Graubünden, Switzerland, we launched a holiday competition with Graubünden Tourism. The prize? Return flights with Swiss International Air Lines, first class rail transfer tickets, three nights B&B at Arena Lodge in Flims, three days bike rental and a six-hour private bike tour with an experienced guide.

Out of thousands of entries, the winner was selected as Mark Hill from London.

Mark has since returned from his trip so we caught up with him to see how he got on:

“We had a fabulous time in Flims, Graubünden - stunning scenery, beautiful weather, and more importantly plenty of mountain trails perfect for mountain biking. I took my wife and four-year old daughter with me and was pleasantly surprised by the e-bikes available. My wife and I took off on a leisurely e-bike ride with our daughter in tow, who sat on the rear carrier. The highlights had to be swimming in Cresta Lake, a stunning crystal blue lake in Flims after a two hour bike ride through the nearby pine forest, as well as taking part in the technical canyon trail tour with my experienced guide, Marie-Anne. Though only three days long, this holiday has to be one of the best trips I’ve been on – we’ll definitely go back to Graubünden!”
