What kind of riding do you do?
Road, track, cyclo-cross, sportives

What do you enjoy most about cycling?
The freedom and chance to escape everyday life for a few hours. You can have a bad day at work, but get out on the bike and your troubles disappear.

What’s your favourite ride?
Day five of a nine-day Lands End to John O’Groats ride in 2013. The previous day had been a tough one for us all but after an early start we hit the beautiful Lake District in glorious summer sunshine. Cycling past the lakes with the sun gleaming off the water was simply stunning.

What’s your top cycling tip to share?
On a long ride make sure you fuel your body, nobody likes to bonk.

If you had a tandem, who would you like to ride it with?
My wife Claire. Having two young children we don’t get much chance to do things just the two of us.
