This week the para-cycling track world championships are being in Apeldoorn, Holland.
No sooner have we debriefed from Paris and the track world championships, that another major milestone on the road to Rio comes along, but that’s the nature of the Great Britain Cycling Team – the schedule is relentless and part of the challenge is keeping up.
That’s the same task that will face the 14 athletes selected to represent Great Britain in the Netherlands this week – especially those who are facing their first world championship competition.
There is plenty of experience in the squad along with the new talent and I know the whole team are excited to see what they can do on the world stage after a good showing at the Newport International.
We’ve also seen some exciting performances by British riders as the Classics season has got underway on the road.
I believe the best is yet to come and hopefully we’ll see a continuation of the British success as the clocks change – just in time for everyone to get inspired and get out on their bikes!
