Find out what it takes to win a Cross Country Eliminator, at the Mountain Bike World Cup. British Cycling Podium Rider Kenta Gallagher knows how, having taken his first senior win in May 2013. The Insight Zone caught up with Team GB and Superior Brentjens Team rider, at the Czech Republic round of the UCI World Cup in Nove Mesto.

Kenta and his sister (Yuka Gallagher, Talent Team rider) began cycling in 2005 when their father injured his knee and cycling was recommended to him by his physiotherapist.

Kenta started off competing in downhill mountain biking, but switched to cross country in 2008 when he joined British Cycling's Olympic Development Programme. The former youth and junior British champion progressed onto the Olympic Academy Programme in the winter of 2010 and became the under-23 British champion in both 2011 and 2012.
