48 riders turned up for the finale at the best venue of Dalby Forest. The Richardsons Club event attracted riders from Hull, Guisborough, Guiseley, York and a strong local contigent from Filey and Scarborough.

Once signed on and bikes and helmets checked the riders set off on practice laps of the course which included some really flowing single track and a short section of World Championship Route.

Under 6

On bikes they have just learnt to ride on, with small wheels and no gears, we had 5 riders in the under 6 race.  They set off over the grass adderstone field then onto a section of flowing dalby “black” before diverting onto a special track for the event…no probs for these daredevils!  For the three races we had Oliver Meillam chased all the way by the ever smiling Olivia Hall in her Richardsons CC club top and Fileys Tom Eblet.

With 19 unders 8s we quickly made the decision to split the group to make it more manageable so the odd numbers and evens were split!  Miles Topham, Andrew Prole and William Butterworth were the top three riders in the first group with Filey rider Millie Jarvis getting better once she found the right gears and started looking forward.  Clifton club rider from York Oscar Taylor proved to have the speed and skill to beat his chasers Saul Bateman and Hunmanby rider Ozzy Stringer.

Under 10
Joe Prole took three race wins from Harry Butterworth with Francis Hirzel getting a third in the first race and then Guiseleys Amber Hull getting a third on race two and a second on race three.

Under 12

Maltons Guy Drabble dominated the small under 12s group with regular rider Matthew Dingwall getting two second places and Rory Brickley taking a third in race one with Richardsons CC rider Megan Simpson from Filey getting the third places in races 2 and 3.

Under 14
With a very close championship points score before the event the u14s was going to go to the wire!  Three wins for the three races to Will Turley with Richardsons CC rider Cavan Walker hot on his heels and Fileys Bailey Thornton taking three thirds! Close or what.

Yorks Jasper Wood took fourth place with Alex Drabble getting a point. Jasper even managed a massive wheelie across the line…..top skills rider!

Under 16

Scalbys Andy Hume took two races from Richardsons CC regular rider Marcus Archer with Marcus jumping on his Dads Orange 5 to take first on the last race of the series.

Once again thanks to our sponsors McDonalds Drive Thru at Scarborough, Paul Raper Joinery for the Championship trophys and British Cycling. The day was rounded off with a championship prize presentation with riders getting yellow jerseys and special trophys for the top three of each age group.
