Using this central Scarborough venue for the first time saw 25 eager riders turn up for the three races we had planned. With signing on at the Community Centre and bike checks done the riders had an opportunity to practice bike skills on the small BMX track prior to the races

Under 8s
Oscar Taylor, William Butterworth and Hunmanbys Ozzy Stringer were out at the front for the races with Kirkbymoorside rider Tom Rowley getting 4th place. The young girls Lilly Knight and Abigail Clarke chasing close behind with Reightons Millie Jarvis finding it more testing than round 1.

Under 10s
Joe Prole and Harry Butterworth were out in front closely chased by Guiseleys Amber Hull who took an excellent second place on the McDonalds one lap sprint and Yorks Francis Hirzel taking 4th place

Under 12s

Guy Drabble from Malton doing his first Go Ride Race took an early win on race one from RCC rider Megan Simpson but Megan then took the next Two race wins from Guy with Christian Bowery getting the third places.

Under 14s
Fileys Bailey Thornton was on top form with three race wins from second place Kyle Richardson and Thomas Atkinson. Alex Drabble from Malton experienced his first RCC event and enjoyed it!

Under 16s
With only three riders in the under 16s Richardsons Cycle Club rider Marcus Archer took first on the opening race with a second place on the one lap sprint , beaten by Joe Demy. Marcus took revenge on the final race with a clear victory from Joe with Ben Adams getting three thirds and realising the competition was quick!

Hot dogs, cake and drinks were served up afterwards with the prize presentation. Once again thanks to our sprint race sponsors McDonalds Drive Thru at Scarborough.

The next round is on 19 May at Adderstonefield, Dalby Forest near Pickering using part of the world championship route!
