If you are 16+ and working towards your Gold or Platinum award on the CAYV programme and would like to be part of a new and exciting British Cycling Initiative, then the National Youth Forum could be for you.

The National Youth Forum has been set up by British Cycling to empower young people and enable them to actively help develop opportunities for their peers, providing the chance to ride, race and volunteer beyond 16.

We are looking to recruit a group of 8-12 proactive young volunteers who would like to represent other young people and ensure their voice is heard. Knowledge and understanding of the issues that your peers face, along with some understanding of current programmes available for young people in cycling is therefore important in order for you to undertake this role.

In return you will have the opportunity to:

- Develop leadership and communication skills
- Influence future British Cycling Initiatives
- Participate in Training/Team Building/other activities
- Meet other young cycling volunteers

If you love cycling and are committed to ensuring that young people remain involved in it then this is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain an insight into and have an influence on the sport’s National Governing Body and gain valuable experience.

The National Youth Forum was launched at the Go-Ride Conferences. If you would like further information about the initiative or would like the application form in an alternative format please e-mail: youngvolunteers@britishcycling.org.uk.
