This weekend’s Go-Ride Conference took place at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester with a record number of attendees joining the Go-Ride team for an informal yet informative day of club development.

Nearly 140 club volunteers from the North West, North East, Yorkshire and as far afield as Scotland, were signed in on the day, which incorporated the Go-Ride Volunteer Awards alongside a packed schedule of bespoke workshops, which saw delegates from over 50 clubs split into individual groups depending on their club role. Coaches, welfare officers, club volunteers and young volunteers then took part in tailored workshops, which were delivered both by British Cycling staff and external experts.

The record number of attendees in Manchester brings the total of volunteers to have attended a Go-Ride Conference to nearly 350, with a further 150 expected at this weekend’s final Conference events in Bridgewater and Reading on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Places are still available for interested club volunteers: details of which can be found here.

If you haven’t yet booked your place at one of the remaining Go-Ride Conferences, please feel free to download the online Invitation and return it via email to: go-ride@britishcycling.org.uk
