Yorkshire bike club Richardsons held the 4th Round of the Scarborough Youth Mountain Bike Series at Olivers Mount on the first weekend of July.

With the morning looking good with sunshine and a warm breeze, 24 riders ranging from U8s to U16s turned up for the British Cycling registered Go Ride Racing event. The course was full of twists, turns and hairpin bends, as well as a flat out sprint track.

As a warm up, cycle coaches Mark Grange and Toby Boyes split the group and ran sessions on cornering and gears to enable the youngsters to get the most out of their bikes.
