Join clubs from your area and network with fellow volunteers at this annual opportunity to celebrate what Go-Ride Clubs have achieved. You will have the chance to attend focused coaching workshops exploring how to develop key fundamental movements and offer practical coaching tips, or club development sessions covering topics such as day-to-day club management and future development.
Importantly, we will also be saying thank you to those who have gone above and beyond with the presentation of the Go-Ride Club and Volunteer Awards.
If you are a British Cycling member it’s free to attend, so why not book your place now?
Workshop 1: For Coaches
Quality coaching is a key part of a young person’s experience in cycling and continuous development of coaching practice is essential to ensure that coaches in Go-Ride Clubs continue to lead the way in getting people active and developing talented riders.
Launching our latest CPD workshop for coaches, the 2017 Go-Ride Conferences will focus on creating engaging sessions that develop key fundamental movement and physical capacity, allowing young people to enjoy their cycling and reach their potential.
Please note that in order to book onto this workshop you must be a British Cycling qualified coach working within a Go-Ride Club.
Workshop 2: For Go-Ride Volunteers
We recognise that the behind the scenes work of running the club is just as important as the coaching itself, so this workshop has been designed to cover the issues most relevant in your region. Whilst the exact content of the workshop may vary between regions, all of the workshops will provide you with practical tips on how to improve the day-to-day running of your club.
From club management to volunteer recruitment (and everything in between), this workshop will discuss all of the areas that will help create a successful and sustainable club.
If you have any questions about the conferences, the Go-Ride team is available on 0161 274 2070 or go-ride@britishcycling.org.uk.
