The HOY One Hundred Sportive on Sunday 8 May is set to be a challenging day in the saddle for those taking part, however there will also be a chance for aspiring young cyclists to sharpen their riding skills with a British Cycling Go-Ride session.

Based at the event HQ - Arley Hall and Gardens, Northwich - the Go-Ride session is a great opportunity for the young supporters of those taking part to get on their bikes, welcome triumphant finishers across the line and meet Sir Chris Hoy! It's also open to any young riders from the local area to come along and pick up some new techniques.

Proudly partnered by Evans Cycles, Go-Ride is British Cycling's flagship programme for young people and offers a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport. Delivered by qualified British Cycling coaches, the sessions encourage youngsters to improve bike handling skills and feel confident on their bikes.

Aspiring young cyclists will have chance sharpen their riding skills with a British Cycling Go-Ride session and meet Sir Chris Hoy.

The session will run from 12pm to 4pm on the grass next to the sportive’s start/finish line, meaning young people can cheer riders finishing either the short or long route while also having an opportunity to get on two wheels themselves on the Go-Ride traffic-free course.

On completing his ride, Sir Chris Hoy will be dropping by to help run the session and see his fleet of HOY bikes in action.

The session is aimed at young people aged 8 to 16-years-old, with a range of HOY bikes and Lazer helmets available if required (limited availability). It is possible for riders to sign up and ride on the day, however we encourage you to register in advance if possible. To register for the session, please use the button below.
