British cyclo-cross Champion, Ian Field, is attending a Go-Ride Rider Development Session for U23s this Wednesday 6 November.

Fresh from leading the Koppenberg International Cyclo Cross in Belgium, the British Champion is putting something back into grassroots cycling by making a trip to the session at Marley Activity Centre, Keighley.  During the session, Ian will give the young hopefuls tips and advice, as well as sharing his racing experiences.

British Cycling Go-Ride Coach, Chris Young, said: “It’s a great opportunity for everyone involved to get the chance to meet and gain advice from the British Champion, so we’re all really excited about tomorrow’s session. Ian is an inspirational role model in cyclo cross racing and it’s great to see him supporting our up and coming riders.”

The Rider Development Sessions - hosted by Go-Ride Coach, Chris Young, and Bronte Wheelers Club Coach, Peter Charlton - attract over 40 riders each week and focus on coaching cyclo cross skills and techniques, as well as some competitive testing.

British Cycling’s Go-Ride programme has launched Rider Development Sessions to help bridge the gap between youth and adult riding. The sessions have been developed specifically for both U23s and for groups of women and girls-only.
