Glasgow Youth Track Omnium 16th June 2013 Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome
Rounding off a full weekend of Track racing it was off to Glasgow on Sunday to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome for the final Youth Omnium, No worries about the weather today in a indoor velodrome!
With 76 riders from across the country many of them having raced the day before at Caird park. In an omnium event riders compete in multiple races with points awarded for the finishing position in each race. Points are rewarded in reverse order so first place gets 1 point, second gets 2 points etc. So like a game of golf the aim is to get the lowest score.
