Spina bifida and hydrocephalus
Brian was born with spina bifiada and hydrocephalus. Having started wheelchair racing in 1998, Brian competed in the sport at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
At the end of 2011 Brian made the switch to hand cycling in the H3 classification on the road. He is a part of the Great Britain Para-cycling Team, currently on the academy programme.
In 2015 Brian won both the British road and time trial championships in the H4 category, won the Prudential Ride London Handcycle Classic and secured bronze in the H4 time trial at the Brixia Para-cycling Cup in Italy.
