British Cycling has confirmed the Great Britain team for this Saturday’s Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen) under 23 race, part of the UCI under 23 Nations’ Cup.

Simon Yates, recently crowned points race world champion at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Belarus, Owain Doull, Jonathan Dibben, Joe Kelly, Sam Harrison and Ali Slater will compete over 169.7-kilometres, starting and finishing at Oudenaarde in East Flanders on 6 April 2013.

The event is the opening race for Great Britain’s Olympic Academy Programme riders in the UCI under 23 Nations’ Cup series, which determines the number of places Great Britain receives for the under-23 men’s race at the UCI Road World Championships in September, held in Florence, Italy.
