Callum Skinner is in action at the Bremen Arena

A solitary victory for Paul in the one lap sprint time-trial was Great Britain’s only win during the third night, which left Callum Skinner fifth overall and Lewis Oliva sixth at the halfway point.

The 19-year-old British Cycling Olympic Academy Programme rider also finished third in the individual sprint, sixth in the keirin and second in the team sprint as the German trio of Philipp Thiele, Erik Balzer and Sebastian Döhrer ended GB’s 100% record in the discipline, helping Döhrer into second place in the standings.

British sprint champion Callum Skinner triumphed in the sprint minor final for fourth with Welshman Oliva sixth, with identical outcomes in the one lap sprint time-trial. Oliva then settled for third in the keirin, ahead of Skinner in fourth.

In the UIV Talents Cup, British Cycling Olympic Academy Programme endurance riders Chris Lawless and Zac May sit in tenth after three stages of the event at the Bremen Arena.
